The Final Countdown

Just 2 more days to get sorted ready for the opening do........... lots still to do but enjoying the build up.

I'm loving it.. all chilled and calm they reckon. Looking forward to seeing all my customers, friends, fellow artists and designers.

After all the hard work by Mr & Mrs P, my Hubby, Mum and Dad & our fantastic workmen there is only one word to describe the new studio......... WOW

Final Week !

The Floor is down and it looks fantastico!! Had a lovely weekend moving stuff into the studio and can finally see the carpet in my upstairs lounge after six months of looking like a stock room.

I'm not going to upload any pictures here of how it is looking..I don't want to spoil the surprise for those coming to the opening do on Friday.

Anyway, must catch up with emails and computer stuff before heading up to studio for another day sorting... today the jewellery cabinets are being cleaned and stocked. All good fun

Almost There

After alot of hard work all round it is time to start doing the "nice bits". I've done the window display which apparently looks lovely all lit up in the evening.... must do a drive-by.

Today sees the start of the flooring ... Saturday is when it is fitted.... I think this will be the icing on the cake and then I can stock it with all the gorgeous goodies...... soooo excited about that bit. I can fiddle about to my little hearts content then.

Have a lovely Work Experience Student this week which is of great help and Richard has started planting up the borders ready for the opening.... lavenders coming later this week.

Now must catch up with emails and admin!!!!

What a Week

This week I have lost count of the number of bodies working on the studio... the results are awesome. The studio is glowing under the new spotlights and down lights and the burglar alarm/emergency lighting are installed..now sorting out CCTV system.

All this PLUS my new signs are up...... dead chuffed. (Ignore the scuff in the photo...got my work clothes on.. not a great advert stood out on the front looking like a bag lady)

Heading up there today to give everywhere a good clean...trying to help Mr & Mrs P who've worked around the clock to meet my opening deadline.

Nearly there... two weeks to go.........ain't it exciting.... hope your coming to the opening!!!!

Smile

Been unpacking this chap today and he always makes me smile... his little mate is the dog on a skateboard on the front of my new leaflets. These are just some of the work by OddBods Ceramics..... such humour and characters.

Had some lovely Raku work and designer handbags in today.........plus Homes&Heartspun have delivered my new range of Bath Body & Boudoir products... smell gorgeous ... all named after and inspired by my paintings ie Love is in the Air..... Honey & Lemon with Calendular petals .... bagged nicely with a little wooden scoop.. arrr!!!

Hopefully my sign is going up tommorrow... can't wait.

Looking Good

I'm loving this week..so much beautiful work being brought in.. today it was stunning glass art work and even more gorgeous jewellery ... no such thing as too much jewellery!!!

Gardeners Richard & Dean have done an amazing job of renovating the courtyard.........hope the weather is good on my Reopening Day so guests can have a glass of wine there and admire the view.

Can't wait to see my new signs up..

Cobbles!!!!

After alot of hard work by Mr & Mrs P the cobbles in one of the rooms are coming up a treat. They are finally clean and just need sealing to get them all black and gleaming.

Meanwhile outside more work has been done to restore the stable courtyard cobbles and missing stones. It is getting a good old jet wash in the morning and lots of planting up before I reopen. Going to be a fabulous sunny spot to admire the views

Having a Ball

I'm loving this week as new stock is arriving daily and am enjoying catching up with designers and meeting new ones... some gorgeous jewellery, textiles and handbags so far.

It's been all go in the studio this week with bodies everywhere ......plasterer, decorator, Mr & Mrs P and sign maker.

The gardener Richard and his mate are doing a fabulous job of restoring the courtyard to it's former glory..... he has even built me a stone seat to sit with a coffee and admire the stunning views.

Old Friends New Friends

Looking forward to this week...... all my designers plus new ones are bringing their new stock in. I have missed them and their inspiration so much. Will be good to catch up and test out the new coffee machine!!

The Dust has Settled!!

This was taken about 2 weeks ago and at last the dust is going.

My mate Sue and I... she makes the most gorgeous jewellery and is my first Guest Jewellery Designer.... she is also the one to thank for my new premises.

Spring Clean

The sun is pouring into the studio today as preparations are under way for the decorator. The views are simply stunning and I can't wait for all my customers and artists/designers to see the new space. I have missed them all so much it will be great to be back in operation.
