Well these last four weeks have been so much fun here.Participants in the Come Draw With Me Sessions (or should that be Come Talk With Me!) have been scribbling and doodling away in the gallery and rediscovering how relaxing an hour away from it all sketching is.

Come Draw With Me Session Three Pictures.

A great turn out this morning at the third Come Draw With Me Session at Studio 61 Gallery must have been the sunshine, on this beautiful Autumn morning here in Holloway.

The campaign for drawing is a charity to raise awareness of the ability of drawing to bring people together to create, be social but most of all enjoy the fun of drawing. Today we had caricatures, portraits and still life around the table in the snug.

The concentration of our participant's today was great to see.

Next week is the last session of Come Draw With Me Thursday 10.15am-11.30am 25th Oct.
Why don't you come along and have some fun its free!
Coming soon its the Pop Up Gallery by Friends of Studio 61 at park Farm Allestree

More details to come, but there is a rumour that there will be an artist working in the window as well as a secret Santa raising money for charity! Watch this space!

Pictures From Come Draw With Me Session One

The Campaign For Drawing at its essence is about getting people together to share their creativity to be social through the medium of drawing and the sessions at Studio 61 Gallery are all about that. The participants are given a loose guideline to get them started and away they go! Still life and portraits turned into much more and the use of graphite powder which no one had used before enabled them to try something new with amazing results as you can see here. These sessions are relaxing and there is no pressure to stick to topic or even produce a masterpiece. The next session is Thursday 11th October at 10.15am till 11.30am. There is no cost involved these are free sessions so please come along 'Come Draw With Me'!!
